Overview
We are seeking a Commissioning Lead (Electrical) to join a major international energy development project. The position is based onshore and involves leading electrical commissioning activities, ensuring safety, quality and technical compliance across vendor packages and contractor teams.
You will be responsible for managing the electrical commissioning scope, supporting pre-commissioning, factory acceptance tests and interface coordination with multiple stakeholders. This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented and experienced electrical professional with a strong commissioning background on large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee electrical commissioning works, including contractor, subcontractor and vendor activities.

Coordinate inspections, workshop testing and pre-startup safety reviews.

Ensure compliance with technical specifications, design codes and industry standards.

Review and contribute to commissioning documentation such as procedures, check sheets and method statements.

Provide technical leadership in the areas of LV, MV and HV systems, switchgear, protection relays, generators and control systems.

Support project completions and system handover to operations.

Work closely with engineering, construction and operations personnel to deliver integrated outcomes.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.

Minimum 8 years of commissioning experience in the oil and gas sector.

At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, generation and controls.

Familiarity with project execution, systemisation and completions processes.

Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings, P and IDs, datasheets and general arrangements.

Experience with vendors in complex mechanical and electrical package delivery.

Prior involvement in large EPC contracts or major infrastructure developments is preferred.
