Be part of a team that designs, develops, and executes tests and test solutions for all products falling under the Engines and Power Systems umbrella. As an Engineer Support Specialist II, you will play a significant role among a group of engineers and technicians in the development and certification of the next generation of gas turbine engines with ownership in the flow facility, fan/compressor rig, combustion rig, core engine, or turbine rig test facility.
Our overarching mission is to ensure that our customers obtain the data they need the first time. We develop, own and maintain the facilities and test processes that enable the development, certification and long-term support of the entirety of the E&PS product families.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the assigned test facility in a way that ensures the cell is ready to execute tests for the current and future Honeywell product lines.
- Provide constructive feedback on test plans and test approaches.
- Model Safety, HOS, Behaviors, and Continuous Improvement.
- Apply knowledge of complex mechanical products test methods to learn engine, rig, facility systems, and test equipment.
- Support the team in establishing solutions to meet requirements for innovative test solutions for new and existing products.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of directly related experience as a rig or gas turbine test technician or 8 years of experience testing complex mechanical systems.
- The ability to work off-shift regularly (once sufficiently trained) - Shifts may change depending on the test under execution.
WE VALUE
- Experience running fan and compressor rigs.
- The ability to work in a lab environment, occasionally lifting (up to 35 lb.) and working with large mechanical test equipment and systems, including powered industrial vehicles.
- The ability to work outdoors, occasional overtime (20% is not unusual), and travel occasionally (<10%).
- Experience executing complex and/or unique gas turbine engine or component tests independently.
- Direct experience supporting change efforts that benefit the team and other test stakeholders while improving teamwork.
- Experience supporting safety initiatives and data-driven continuous improvement.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with complex, integrated mechanical systems with an emphasis on driving the team to identify root cause as well as contributing causes - and playing a lead role in recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work independently towards achieving team, project, and organization vision.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions in the face of ambiguous and complex situations.
- Relevant advanced education (or equivalent military experience) supporting work being done in Engines & Power Systems (i.e. A&P school/license).
