JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about developing and configuring control systems using SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) for real-time monitoring, automation, and management of industrial processes.? Do you want to work with a broad spectrum of cutting-edge equipment used in the drilling industry?

Then we'd love to welcome you to our Field Engineering team in Stavanger!

In this role, you'll be part of a close-knit, multidisciplined team that thrives on collaboration and innovation. You'll work on delivering new functionality, upgrades, and improvements to a broad and growing customer base. Our solutions are implemented across drill ships and drilling rigs, with our Cyberbase Chairs serving as the central hub for nearly all operational tasks.

As an experienced engineer on our team, you'll:

  • Collaborate in projects across products within NOV delivery portfolio.
  • Take the lead on complex control system deliveries.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to both individual and team development.


Based on your preference, we also offer you the opportunity to travel, both on- and offshore in Norway and abroad.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Updating NOV control systems with new functionality and improvements.
  • Performing in-house testing and quality assurance.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Providing technical support to sales engineers, field technicians, and customers.


Who are you...?

  • You hold an education from technical college or university within Computer Science, Computer Software Technology, Computer Networks or related fields or extensive experience in the area.
  • You have a general Microsoft operating software knowledge.
  • You speak fluently English, and preferably Norwegian


It is nice if you have an experience with the one or more of the following technologies:

  • Network and router configurations,
  • Programming HMI/SCADA systems,
  • Microsoft programming languages.
