SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Product Selection & Quoting (PSQ) Engineer has the responsibility to support sales preparing and submitting the quotations to customers/ distributors in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures the technical alignment to customer specifications working directly with customers and in collaboration with sales! Quote price and lead time to meet the customer's requirement following SBU rules for pricing and manufacturing plant lead time guidelines.

The PSQ Engineer is also responsible for the order entry and must supply inspection and test plan, special procedures and valve relevant parameters to allow manufacturing.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Review RFQ and propose suitable system for the application.
  • Require and Participate pre-bid technical clarification meeting with customers.
  • Prepare technical Bid with Clarifications & Deviations
  • Send and manage Request for Quotations (RFQ) to actuator manufacturer.
  • Send and manage RFQ for missing price list or for price/delivery optimization.
  • Require and participate to technical clarification meetings with customers till complete and final technical alignment to customer specifications.
  • Ensure Technical support and clarification to local Sales Office
  • Translate the customer specifications into information to allow Bill of Material/paperwork creation.
  • Receipt & Release of the order to manufacturing.
  • Creation of Inspection and test plan, as well as special procedures not covered by standard procedure.
  • Entering technical parameters of valve in Odoo system (ERP)
  • Participate to post-order technical meeting (i.e. Kick of Meetings) with internal functions to ensure consistency to agreed conditions.
  • Be the point of reference for TQ's during post order contract review meeting.
  • Support Internal Project Management team (IPM) with change order.
  • Support and provide solutions to Procurement Department if cost estimations are not correct.

Who You Are:

You are a diligent and technically savvy professional with a passion for delivering accurate, high-quality quotations and technical support. With strong communication skills in English and a solid grasp of fluid mechanics and electro-mechanical systems, you excel at interpreting customer specifications and ensuring technical alignment. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing multiple tasks with precision and efficiency. Your background may include experience in the flow control industry, giving you a strong understanding of valve and actuation applications. You thrive in collaborative environments and take ownership of your work, from quoting to order entry and documentation.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
  • Fluent in English
  • Preferred previous experience in the flow control industry with the ability to understand valve and actuation applications.
  • Basic understanding of fluid mechanics, electro-mechanical equipment and metal physical properties.
  • Ability to comprehend technical details/technical literacy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART
  • Written and verbal skills in another language would be nice to have
  • High School Diploma/Bachelor's degree in technical area
  • Experience in the flow control industry with the ability to understand valve and actuation applications.
  • Knowledge of Pressure Equipment Directive (ASME, ANSI, API) standards, preferred.
