Supervise the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the successful implementation of control system projects, including system upgrades and expansions.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of control system hardware and software to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve control system issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions to operations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians on control system maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design and implement control system improvements and optimizations.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in control system technology, recommending enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of control system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance skills and expertise in control system maintenance and operation.

Essential skills and knowledge

Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in control system maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Proficiency in control system platforms and programming languages, including but not limited to, DCS (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson) and PLC (e.g., Siemens, AllenBradley).
Certification in relevant control system technologies is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in control system maintenance and support, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead technician role.
Hands-on experience with control system hardware and software, including configuration and programming.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control system safety and reliability.
Experience working in industrial or plant environments is an advantage.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
