Technical Consulting Manager II
Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for leading and delivering electrical system analysis services, in Electrification Service, in the United States, ensuring that the work executes and satisfies project specifications. You will, as an ABB Power System Engineer (PSE), be responsible to work with both internal and external clients. Based upon our clients' project specifications, you will be work directly with them to provide recommendations and evaluate specifications. You will be analyzing, planning, designing, and developing proposals, including cost estimates. The work model for the role is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA. #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification Services division in North America. You will be mainly accountable for: • Providing quotes based on the project one lines and specifications for the following: data col-lection, short circuit, equipment evaluation, coordination, arc flash, load flow, harmonic, and power quality analysis. • Work to reduce costs and to improve the quality of delivery of service and projects • Take a lead role to propose recommendations of services and/or products to meet the customer's needs. • Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team on offer preparation. • Developing relationships and actively maintaining a technical knowledge exchange with key technical contacts.

Qualifications for the role
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, with a major in electrical or computer engineering.
- Proficient in specific platforms such as Easy Power, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Aspen, and EMTP.
- PE, FE/EIT certification preferred
- Ability to travel domestically an estimated 25% of the time
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
