Energy Consultant (Refinery / Petrochemical / Downstream) - Muscat, Oman - Permanent

We are seeking several Energy Consultants to join a growing and highly stable organisation in the insurance sector. Based in Muscat, Oman, this role offers the opportunity to take on a key position within a newly established office. This is an excellent chance to be part of a recession-resistant industry that is expanding rapidly.

Preference for this role is for Omani nationals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting standard risk engineering surveys, typically involving 2-3 day site visits

• Interviewing management teams and carrying out site inspections

• Preparing detailed engineering reports covering site operations, loss prevention analysis, site quality ranking, and recommendations

• Estimating potential property damage using internal modelling tools

• Performing risk assessments for construction projects and reviewing new developments

• Supporting the management and enhancement of the Engineering Management System

Candidates should have:

• A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

• Experience in refinery, petrochemical, or downstream operations

• Strong communication and technical reporting skills

• A proactive and independent approach to work

• Flexibility to travel as required
