Structural Engineering Lead (Civil)

Schedule: 6 Days per Week | 26 Days per Month | 10 Hours per Day

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Lead (Civil) to oversee the design and delivery of major onshore infrastructure works within the energy sector. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile industrial development, supporting full project lifecycle delivery from design through to construction. The successful candidate will bring technical rigour, leadership and collaborative problem-solving to drive performance across civil and structural disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise civil and structural engineering activities across all phases of FEED and EPC.

• Ensure that design outputs meet project specifications, technical standards and regulatory requirements.

• Provide consistent direction to engineering contractors and manage technical interfaces.

• Review and validate engineering documentation including specifications, data sheets, and calculations.

• Conduct engineering surveillance on deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with project objectives.

• Coordinate with multiple internal and external teams to resolve design and execution issues.

• Ensure adherence to timelines, cost control and risk management protocols related to civil works.

• Guide and contribute to the design of tank foundations and other large industrial structures.

• Apply sound engineering judgement in the review of brownfield modifications and tie-ins.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in civil/structural engineering, with at least 5 years in design execution.

• Proven background in large-scale oil & gas or heavy industrial projects, ideally within onshore LNG environments.

• Prior experience working in FEED is essential.

• Familiarity with foundation design for large tanks and brownfield engineering is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of international codes, design practices, and engineering standards.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams within multi-disciplinary project settings.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
