Project Engineer – Pipeline Projects

Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Engineer to join a dynamic construction project involving pipeline systems and control building works. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in mechanical or pipeline engineering, looking to lead and coordinate end-to-end engineering and construction activities while ensuring project delivery aligns with safety, quality, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate engineering activities across pipeline and building design, construction, and recommissioning.

Review and develop technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Support procurement by preparing technical queries and securing material approvals.

Serve as the interface between clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Assist with planning and sequencing of project work fronts to meet deadlines.

Monitor subcontractor performance and provide on-site resolution of technical/logistical issues.

Conduct and participate in technical reviews and approvals of subcontracting scopes.

Coordinate international subcontractors (e.g., NDT and welding teams) and handle logistics.

Maintain up-to-date project documentation for construction and handover purposes.

Contribute to cost estimation, budgeting, and progress forecasting.

Evaluate pipeline technical challenges and provide engineering support for consumables, logistics, and execution.

Track site material availability and coordinate timely deliveries.

Support the development of as-built documentation and final project handover packages.

Manage field change orders and maintain official communication records.
Qualifications and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering.

Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas or energy sectors, including hands-on experience with pipeline projects.

Strong knowledge of applicable pipeline codes (e.g., API, DNV).

Practical understanding of construction methods, welding techniques, NDT, and pre-commissioning workflows.

Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Able to lead multidisciplinary efforts under time and operational constraints.

Proficient in reviewing engineering drawings and preparing detailed site documentation.

Professional and presentable, with confidence to manage meetings and represent the project team effectively.
