JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Travel to customer locations to perform equipment installations, diagnostics, repairs, and warranty investigations.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and site layouts to ensure accurate and efficient installations.
  • Align, install, and commission pumps, mixers, and other industrial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on-site.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and internal service teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and maintain a strong customer focus at all times.
  • Complete service reports, documentation, and updates using computer software and tools.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean & organized work area; utilize safe work habits.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of industrial maintenance or technical service required.
  • Basic understanding of VFDs and PLCs in industrial environments.
  • Experience with installation, alignment, and commissioning of pumps, mixers, or other industrial equipment is important for success in this position.
  • Welding certification is preferred.
  • Must be able to understand and read mechanical plans, drawings, and site layouts
  • Must possess basic computer skills - email, filing of field reports, expenses.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and eligible to operate a company vehicle, which will be taken home for field service assignments.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 75-95% of the time, both domestically and potentially internationally, based on project needs.
  • Must be available to work overtime and on-call schedule.
  • Must obtain NOV corporate credit card and maintain an active status per NOV credit card policy.
  • Must possess strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Trainable attitude and an extreme amount of self-motivation required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress, team environment for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel.
  • Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 150 feet.
  • Must provide transportation from home to the office. Transportation to customer's location will be provided.
