Control & Instrumentation Lead - Stockholm or Boden

WRS are searching for a Control & Instrumentation Lead for a capital EPC project in Sweden the role will be presented on a 12 month renewable contract and will be offered on a paid hourly rate working 40 hour week in either location.

Key responsibilities:
The Lead C&I Engineer reports to the Head of Central Engineering and supports them in driving standardisation, optimisation and safety across Client Project
- Provides technical leadership for the C&I discipline, functioning as escalation point and technical authority for project teams.
- Drives standardisation of C&I systems and equipment on site.
- Acts as custodian for C&I standards and guidelines used across the project.
- Ensures competency of their owner's team, sets resources and authority levels in collaboration with design managers.
- Support development work of new scopes to enable handover to the Engineering Contractor.
- Act as business owner for key engineering contracts with 3rd party suppliers/partners managing performance and agreeing long term strategies to support engineering delivery.
- Complete all tasks as directed by the manager and fulfil all assigned responsibilities

Qualifications:
EU Passport holder 
We are looking for applicants that have previous engineering/project experience in an industrial plant environment and possess significant experience in delivery of engineering projects. You will be able to adapt to, and excel in, a dynamic business environment and should be a problem solver who can work with many stakeholders to drive cross-functional teams to a common goal.
- Master’s degree in Controls or Electronics Engineering or related discipline
- 8 years of relevant industry experience with steel manufacturing processes or similar heavy industries
- Technical and Process Safety knowledge
- 5 years in senior C&I role
- Detailed working knowledge with European and Swedish standards and regulations
