JOB PURPOSE

The jobholder is responsible to manage materials moves to ensure proper implementation of the monomers plan, while reviewing the production reports.

This role includes; setting up the plant priorities, production rates, execute the monomers sales, along with ensuring the feedstock allocation, and aligning the business and operations plans, feedstock allocation among the upstream and downstream as part of S&OP process to ensure capacities for our plants are meeting the planned feedstock

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Feedstock Monitoring

• • Align the feedstock allocation among the upstream and downstream as part of S&OP process to ensure capacities for our plants are meeting the planned feedstock.
  • Monitor daily feedstock plan vs actual to the crackers based on the feedstock availability and asset capacities.
  • Monitor daily feedstock plan vs actual the OCU operation plant to fulfil both Polypropylene plants and Polyethylene Plants' requirements for ethylene, propylene and butene1.
  • Monitor daily the propylene imports to the polypropylene plants in line with the production plan and plant capacities.
  • Monitor daily Propane intake and allocation to substitute the shortage in ethane, along with the analysis of propane profitability according to finance inputs of the market price.
  • Propose the Turnaround, project implementation, test run align with Feedstock availability to minimize the losses.
  • Advice on the polymers production based on the monomers production plans during monomer shortage.

Operation Coordination

• • Propose the operation windows, shutdowns and turnaround time schedules, and align it with the operations management and global planning teams for their planning activities.
  • Control the plant loading rate from daily to 3 months plan to ensure smooth operations without shutdowns due to monomer shortage, and report the asset utilization and relevant production reports.
  • Analyse and recommend product-asset profitability based on the operation and cost elements to ensure optimized operation plans.
  • Direct the product assignment to assets based on the product profitability for each plant, while maintain balance among the PE / PP for short term demand and production plans
  • Generate the daily production report for all Borouge Plants, and participate in the weekly production reviews.
  • Operation priority decisions; balancing with demand vs operations, to ensure meeting the business plans and strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification

• • University degree in Industrial Engineering, any equivalent disciplines.
  • Sound knowledge of Operation Management
  • Knowledge in SAP, Microsoft office and different supply chain tools.
  • Deep knowledge of sales and operation planning process
  • General knowledge of supply chain management process
  • Fluency in English Language is a must; written and oral.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• • Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in Material Planning, Production Planning or Supply Chain Occupations.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional stake holders, influence decisions and recommend a course of action based data analytics.
  • Solid knowledge on raw ethane or naphtha cracker processes
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate data and make recommendation and decisions
  • Strong ERP (enterprise resource planning) system skills and MRP (material requirement planning) system skills for at least 2 years
  • Knowledge of Borouge product range, applications and polymer production
  • Knowledge of Borouge monomers product range, applications.
  • Strong project management skills, and outstanding planning and scheduling skills
  • Hands-on supply chain' planning processes; demand, supply, logistics, and replenishment.
  • Ability to understand financial statements, cost accounting and demonstrate skills in estimating budgets and preparing financial business cases.
  • Good knowledge in (MS Office, SAP APO / R3 / BW).

Professional Certifications

• • Professional certification in Supply Chain (like CSCP) would be of advantage
