Position Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Static & Piping)

Location: Office-based, Qatar

Contract Length: March 2030

Role Purpose:

Provide technical mechanical engineering design and services in static and piping disciplines for assigned projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with standards while managing schedule, cost, and HSE requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead mechanical engineering design and activities from concept definition through FEED, detailed design, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure compliance with technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies.
• Review and resolve technical deviations, variations, and contract changes in line with approved guidelines and codes.
• Support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying standards.
• Coordinate and manage a team of multidisciplinary engineers to deliver timely and quality technical services.
• Develop, review, and coordinate multi-disciplinary scopes of work and engineering deliverables.
• Review and approve contractor method statements and technical bid packages for compliance.
• Develop and monitor schedules for in-house engineering and contribute to FEED/EPIC project scheduling.
• Support the development of personal and team technical competencies, including training Associate Qatari Engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years relevant post-graduate experience, including 6 years in Oil & Gas static and piping disciplines.
• Expert competency in at least one discipline (static or piping).
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield major projects, concept development, FEED, EPIC execution, and site/plant support.
• Proficient in applying engineering standards, international codes, and company procedures.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
