Job Objectives
The I&C Technician role is to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. In addition, to ensure all work scope is completed in a safe manner with no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment. Proven competency in commissioning oil field instrumentation and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
(i) calibration checks of field instrumentation
(ii) stroke test of pneumatic, hydraulic and motor-operated valves
(iii)loop-checks and troubleshooting (I/O (Input/Output) checking and troubleshooting)
(iv) fibre optic panels wiring against IFC drawings and red-lining/as-building as required
(v) cause and effect matrix checks
(vi) interlocks, alarms, & controls performance verification
(vii) installation inspection against design documentation
(viii) completion of approved commissioning check sheets

Job Objectives
The I&C Technician role is to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. In addition, to ensure all work scope is completed in a safe manner with no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment. Proven competency in commissioning oil field instrumentation and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work.
- Complete field level risk assessments.
- Safely perform the following:
(i) calibration checks of field instrumentation
(ii) stroke test of pneumatic, hydraulic and motor-operated valves
(iii)loop-checks and troubleshooting (I/O (Input/Output) checking and troubleshooting)
(iv) fibre optic panels wiring against IFC drawings and red-lining/as-building as required
(v) cause and effect matrix checks
(vi) interlocks, alarms, & controls performance verification
(vii) installation inspection against design documentation
(viii) completion of approved commissioning check sheets
- Use of calibration and testing instruments to inspect, test and perform troubleshooting and diagnose faults
- Communicate design discrepancies and design issues
- Adhere to standards of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and comply with the Clients Company Health, Safety & Environment Management (HSEM) System requirements; takes reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace
- Follows and maintains Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements
