This position reports to
Lead Project Manager
Your role and responsibilities
As an Engineer, you will be responsible for successful execution/deliverable of assigned multiple project(s) on-time, within contract agreement and the designs required for, with on- quality and safety framework of ABB. Your responsibilities: • Providing support on technical expertise and leadership to the engineering team, collaborate in design and execution of drives and motors projects. • Lead/collaborate the development of medium and low voltage drive system designs that meet client requirements and comply with industry standard. • Ensuring all drives/motors projects comply with relevant industry standards, codes and regulations. • Collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and performance targets. • Optimizing system designs for maximum efficiency, safety and performance. Conducting detailed engineering analyses, simulations and modelling as necessary. • Collaborating with procurement, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution from design to commissioning to handover. • Understanding and implementing rigorous quality control processes and reviewing design /engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness regard to customer specification requirement.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Ideally with Proven experience in system design for Medium & Low voltage systems.
- Those with retrofitting knowledge will be advantage
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, power electronics, PLC, integration of systems and mechanical.
- Knowledge and experience in network technologies (such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, CANBUS, etc.), PLC, and various devices such as SCADA, VFD, HMI.
- Experience or knowledge in crane operation design, VSD, Motor & IEC 61131-3 PLC Programming language is advantageous.
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
