This individual will play a key role in the technical delivery of complex offshore engineering work packages especially related to naval architecture such as offshore transportation, hydrodynamics, floater design etc., supporting both offshore wind and conventional oil & gas projects globally.

The successful candidate will bring a strong naval architectural background, particularly in the design and analysis of floating and fixed marine structures. You will contribute directly to structural integrity assessments, hydrodynamic modelling, marine operations planning, and system integration - ensuring that designs meet international standards while remaining cost-effective and constructable.

This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of naval architecture, structural engineering, and offshore renewable energy, providing leadership in multi-disciplinary teams and contributing to AtkinsRéalis' continued growth in the offshore sector.

  • Perform hydrodynamic and structural analyses of floating platforms, monopiles, jackets, FPSOs, and offshore wind foundations using advanced tools such as SESAM Genie, SACS, MOSES, OrcaFlex, and ANSYS.
  • Conduct marine operations analysis, including transportation, installation, lifting, and barge motion studies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international codes and standards (DNV, API, ISO, AISC, NORSOK) from a naval architecture and structural perspective.
  • Develop efficient and innovative design methodologies integrating seakeeping, stability, mooring, and dynamic response behaviour of offshore systems.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications, with a strong emphasis on engineering rigor and verification.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical engineers to ensure integrated system performance.
  • Mentor junior naval architects and structural engineers and support knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Engage directly with international clients and stakeholders through clear and confident communication.
  • Travel to site locations or partner offices for short-term assignments as required.

  • Strong background in oil & gas structures, including fixed platforms, jackets, and FPSOs, with demonstrated application of naval architectural principles.
  • Proven track record in offshore projects, particular experiences in WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) and Substation support structure design for floating and fixed applications will be viewed advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large-scale projects independently.
