Drive and perform detailed/integrated development studies for developed and undeveloped hydrocarbon resources and participate in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams and sector reviews. Support staff coaching / mentoring / development.
Principal Accountabilities
- Drive and undertake construction / model history matching and utilization of 3D multiphase black oil / compositional dynamic reservoir models for use in field development planning.
- Drive the development and delivery of optimized mid / long term strategic and tactical plans for the Operated Onshore field Assets.
- Assess and collaborate with others to address performance and production bottlenecks.
- Drive and perform the annual review of resources, generate long-term production/injection forecasts for Asset Planning, Business Planning and drilling/workover schedules. Drive and perform acquisition, and analysis/interpretation, of Reservoir Engineering data from new/replacement wells for updating simulation models and determining optimum plans. Ensure all data / analysis is input into integrated reservoir/field development studies.
- Drive planning and integration of Reservoir Engineering inputs into new drill / replacement / workovers projects and operations, reservoir voidage management, and field development / optimisation activities.
- Recommend / plan reservoir layer targets for infill drilling integrating fluid contacts, geological, production and reservoir engineering data.
- Drive and perform development of detailed, integrated development and maturation plans for developed and undeveloped hydrocarbon resources.
- Develop strategies and ensure implementation of mid / long term reservoir management plans. Develop surveillance programs that are efficient and effective.
- Mentoring and coaching of less experienced staff and share / leverage knowledge and skills across subsurface community.
- Within broad guidelines set by the Supervisor within the Department mandate, the position is answerable for his / her actions, and for the consequences of them. Incumbent requires only limited monitoring and guidance.
Context / Special Features / Challenges
