Job Summary

Responsible to provide technical expertise, support & problem-solving capabilities for SPM development Branson customer base, to maintain & generate additional business by exploring new applications. To provide accurate specification interpretations that drive technical evaluation. Application engineer must be able to articulate our technology, product features, and benefits technically. Also to identify technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide cost-effective solution focusing on application innovation and new application development to enhance company competitiveness

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1. Analyze and evaluate customer applications for ultrasonic assembly. Assist with recommending equipment tooling and part design modifications for rigid plastic applications, metal welding applications, textile, EV Battery, food cutting etc.
2. Provide application troubleshooting support both at the factory and in the field along with client site visits with sales
3. Provide technical communication (ie. Application briefs, technical bulletins) internally and externally.
4. Engage actively in training interns, new employees, external seminars and lab training programs.
5. Provide technical consultative assistance during the sales process to accurately assess potential customer's needs and determine suited solution
6. Develop and present unique value proposition to clients and provide pre-sales support for better technology and cost competitiveness positioning.
7. Successful application implemented, new applications attempted and commissioned (go beyond the routine applications)
8. Support functions that can deliver products and services to customers in an efficient and cost-effective manner including application feasibility study which requires a good, coordinated effort between Sales/Clients/Application team.
9. The trials are accomplished with customer delight and on-time delivery input is provided to Logistics team with right machine selection.
10. For in-house and drive those discussions with suppliers, customers and sales for a technically cost-effective solution.
11. maintain a high level of positive working culture and maintain a good sales-client rapport.
12. Regular communication: Internally with sales, design & tooling team & counter parts in other Branson offices globally. Externally with existing & potential customer

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Polymer/Plastics
• 3-9 years in ultrasonic know-how/plastics/metal joining experience, assembly, techniques, experience of project management
• CAD skills, good mechanical drafting aptitude
• Good organizing skills, planning, presentation, co-ordination skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Open to 30-40% travel
