Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Piping Support Engineer as part of our Engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based full time at our Engineering Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Job Role:

The Senior Piping Support Engineer will be responsible for leading the piping support and piping stress engineering activities for various projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pipe Support selection from the Standard drawings
• Pipe Special support development in terms of Height ,load variation any special case
• Pipe support design calculation including Shoe and RF pad strength check
• Selecting Secondary supports like cantilever, T-Support etc
• Selecting and fixing Clit support from the Equipment design
• Selecting Spring- Variable and constant type from the catalogue
• Selecting of Anchor flange- Thrust design in the GRE/FRP piping
• Pipe Support design calculation incoordination with Civil/Str
• Preparation of Pipe Support Schedule preferably for ADNOC project
• Preparation of Pipe Support MTO preferably for ADNOC project
• Data sheet , MR & TBE for Special supports, Spring , Strut etc
• Selection of Adjustable Pipe supports

Expected:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping support and stress engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects in the [industry, e.g., oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation].
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of piping materials, standards, and codes (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API). Proficiency in material selection and specification development.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to address and resolve complex technical issues.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering software and Material Management tools
