Job Purpose

The Position will report directly to Commissioning Manager

The Commissioning Process Engineer Lead is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Process discipline commissioning activities during the project, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of the commissioning processes. This role involves coordinating with various technical teams, reviewing and approving leak test packs, developing and executing commissioning test procedures, and supervising dynamic commissioning activities on site, with a focus on brownfield projects in the oil and gas industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of commissioning activities for the ROO project, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Review and approve Nitrogen Leak Test packs, ensuring compliance with client and project procedures.
• Develop, review, and approve Commissioning Test Procedures, ensuring they accurately reflect engineering designs and operational requirements.
• Lead the execution team during dynamic commissioning activities, providing technical guidance and ensuring timely completion.
• Establish and coordinate Site Based Safety and Quality practices throughout all commissioning phases.
• Work closely with the Client, Engineering, Operations, and other project teams to ensure seamless commissioning activities.
• Ensure Process discipline relevant testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities align with project schedules, , and quality standards.
• Review resources and time allocation (non-Priced CTR) submitted by Leak test contractor, and other Services relevant to Process discipline.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safety culture among team members.
• Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts during commissioning activities.
• Review, validate, and or approve documentation related to commissioning, including test packs, procedures, and reports.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to site commissioning staff and contractors.
• Participate in review meetings, progress reporting, and risk assessments related to commissioning.

Technical Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience in site brownfield commissioning and or Operations in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience with Nitrogen Leak Testing, including review and or approval of leak test packs.
• Familiarity with SPA (Special Process Authorization) procedures for leak testing as per client and industry standards.
• Ability to develop and review Commissioning Test Procedures and participate actively in their execution.
• Strong understanding of dynamic commissioning activities, including process startups and shut-downs.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures, including HSE, quality, and safety standards.
• Experience with control systems, instrumentation, and process equipment in oil & gas projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12+ years of on-site experience in oil and gas projects, specifically in commissioning and or Operations.
• Proven track record managing brownfield commissioning activities.
• Prior experience in the Middle East or similar environments preferred.
• Relevant technical certifications related to commissioning, safety, or project management is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, or Process Engineering or relevant disciplines.
