Annual CORE (Center Of Recreational Excellence) Corporate Membership is for full-time employees and their eligible family members.
-NMJC offers a campus Wellness Program to promote individual wellness among members of the campus community through education and prevention. This program requires full-time employees to take ONE (1) hour each week from work to participate in physical activity. To sign up for this program, you must complete the NMJC Wellness Program Participation form and turn it in to the Human Resources Office.
Staff Tuition Waiver - A full-time employee of NMJC, their spouse, and eligible children are entitled to a total of nine (9) credit hours of tuition-free credit courses per semester, including course fees. In addition, a full-time employee of NMJC, their spouse, and eligible children can take (1) community education course/offering at no cost per semester, provided (i) NMJC employed the full-time employee as of the date of registration for such class or classes and (ii) the minimum number of paid enrollees has been attained to offer the class.

Description
The Director of Energy Technology shall report to the Dean of Workforce Training and Professional Studies. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Advises students on program courses and activities; works to improve and update the existing Energy Technology program by collaborating with industry and institutional stakeholders (e.g., through the development and use of advisory boards).
- Ensures that program development is consistent with industry practices locally and regionally
- Develops and evaluates course curriculum within the Energy Technology degree and certificate programs.
- Collaborates with the instructor to prepare lesson materials and instruct various courses within the Energy Technology degree and certificate programs.
- Assist with student recruitment, registration, and job placement, including representing the college and/or program at on- and off-campus events and on-going networking with employers.
- Provide overall leadership, management, and collaborative oversight for all program activities, including course implementation, budget, annual planning, personnel decisions, and project implementation.
- Recruits quality full-time and adjunct faculty for program offerings.
- Collaborates with department faculty and staff to maintain and improve professional development.
- Maintain professional/technical knowledge and skills by staying current with techniques, certifications, licensing, and instructional methods.
- Serves on campus hiring committees as needed.
- Attends various community events and serves on social committees as needed.
- Coordinates and leads advisory board meetings.
- May serve on various campus committees as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Nothing contained herein shall limit the President in assigning the employee to any of the various college activities for which he/she would be qualified in order to meet the needs of New Mexico Junior College.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Energy Technology or related field required.
- Five (5) years of managerial and business experience, preferably in an educational institution; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of College and department policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Nuclear Uniform Curriculum.
- Knowledge and skills in energy-based (e.g., petroleum) production processes and equipment operations.
- Knowledge of marketing and promotion methods.
- Skill in conducting analytical research.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Skill in providing academic advice and counseling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to proficiently operate a personal computer, related software, and standard office equipment.
