Job Purpose
Has responsibility for maintaining hardware and software in Desktop environment, supporting System Software Management (SCCM) queries, reports and other various task sequencing projects.
Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises

QUALITY

• Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System

• Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

OPERATIONS

• Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of computers.

• Respond and complete IT support requests channeled through the Weatherford Service Desk on a timely basis. Perform tasks to be determined, consistent with administrative, technical, and physical constraints of the position.

• Support to the IT Infrastructure of the Weatherford Offices in Kuwait. Troubleshooting and resolving/escalating issues to Systems and Networks. Provide H&F support where required.

• Coordinate and troubleshooting of local server backups.

• Engagement in projects to upgrade the systems, including LAN, WAN, IP telephony, Access Control System, mobile technology and all future new developments.

• Execution of networking projects: site visit, technical evaluation, initialization, implementation and commissioning.

• In support of change management: within the Weatherford office, provides high quality documentation of all the sites in the country.

• Coordination with Desktop/Systems/Network team in the region.

• Must be able to work overtime dependent on work load.

• All such works governed through written SOP and instructions from Weatherford's regional/global IT staff.

COMMUNICATION

• Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

• Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

FINANCIAL

• Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent

• 3-5 years of experience as Desktop IT support / Service Desk technician

• Windows Server and Networking basic experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Visio

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including exceptional reading, writing and math skills; ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

• Proficient typing skills

• Ability to prioritize work assignments

• Knowledge of billing practices and controls

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to work and interact with all levels of the employee population including the Company Executive and the Global Supply Chain Leadership team

• Excellent time management and organizational skills for both self and the business

• Strong ability to work with little or no supervision and intuitively understand the needs of the business

• Ability to maintain confidentiality; remain unobtrusive but present; demonstrate calmness and flexibility in a changing environment



Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: <10%
