We are currently seeking a (New Grad) Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning (PC&C) Engineer based in Houston, TX.

About the Role:
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy? As a Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning (PC&C) Engineer, you will be at the forefront of preparing and executing PC&C activities for cutting-edge renewable energy and oil & gas projects. Your work will ensure projects meet contractual requirements, quality standards, budgets, schedules, and local regulations.

Reporting to the Commissioning Lead Engineer or Area Commissioning Manager, youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver excellence at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reviewing and providing input on PFDs, P&IDs, and discipline drawings to ensure commissioning and start-up requirements are met.
- Defining systems and subsystems on PFDs and P&IDs.
- Developing commissioning sequences and collaborating with the planning team to create detailed schedules (Level 3 and 4).
- Supporting subcontracting teams in defining scopes of work and evaluating bids for PC&C activities.
- Preparing method statements, specifications, and procedures for commissioning and start-up activities.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in key reviews (e.g., 3D model, HAZOP, P&ID reviews).
- Managing vendor lists, spare parts, tools, consumables, and temporary equipment to ensure availability on-site.
- Attending and witnessing Vendor Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required (short missions in Europe expected).
- Supporting start-up activities for utilities and processes, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring performance tests.

Home Office Phase
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with PC&C activities.
- Ensure all preparation work is executed with precision, adhering to quality standards, schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines to integrate PC&C requirements into detailed designs.
- Work closely with the Handover and Completion team to implement and populate completion tools.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to foster seamless communication and coordination.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and share lessons learned to enhance project outcomes.

Site Execution Phase
- Oversee the safe and efficient execution of precommissioning and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor quality and certification progress in completion tools.
- Address technical findings and safety concerns promptly, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Continuously seek ways to improve work processes and share valuable insights.

- External: Clients, JV Partners, Vendors, Licensors, Subcontractors.

About You:

Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering.
    • Less than 2 years of professional experience (internships and co-ops are not counted toward this experience).
    • Previous experience or internship in Construction, Energy Business, or Industrial Operations & Maintenance.
      • Experience on an international construction site is appreciated but not mandatory.
    • Practical mindset with excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong safety and quality orientation.
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
    • Must possess a recognized technical qualification relevant to the position.
    • Must be able to mobilize and travel internationally and domestically as required for project assignments, including rotational site deployments.
    • International mobility is highly recommended.
