How you'll make an impact
- Lead and support commissioning of substations and FACTS equipment across North America
- Guide and coordinate Hitachi Energy and contractor teams on-site
- Develop and manage commissioning budgets, schedules, and energization plans
- Ensure safe, high-quality execution aligned with EH&S standards
- Represent Hitachi Energy in customer-facing project environments
- Interpret and communicate technical drawings and protection schemes
- Track project progress and report to leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce costs
Your background
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HV substation or power quality commissioning (SVC, STATCOM, capacitor banks)
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, protection systems, and substation automation
- Experience with transformers, UPS, capacitor/reactor banks, and surge protection
- Familiarity with thyristor, IGCT, or IGBT valves is a plus
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and travel extensively
