▪ Technical degree in Engineering
▪ At least 15 additional years of experience in technologies related to turbomachinery SPOCT
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
▪ Master of Science in Engineering or ACE graduate
▪ Awareness of design practices and Aviation policies and procedures
▪ Consulting Engineer Controlled Title Holder within GE Aerospace for SPOCT or one of the associated S, P, O, C, T disciplines
▪ Strong oral and written communication skills
▪ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
▪ Leadership to pursue correct engineering process in adverse conditions
▪ Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
▪ Considered an expert in SPOCT
▪ Active design board experience
▪ Cleared to EW NTK programs
▪ Demonstrated expertise in both military and commercial variable cycle SPOCT

Job Description
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical consultation and leadership for the engine life cycle, particularly in the area of Systems Design, high speed propulsion and survivability
- Champion for technology, process and tool advancement
- Provide leadership and guidance during the design review process, in preparation for IFR/ISR readiness, as well as preside over formal technology and design milestone reviews
- Participate in/lead design board activities
- Promote division wide initiatives related to safety and reliability, supporting accurate certification and continued airworthiness
- Represent the Chief Engineer's Office in matters related to design excellence ... practices, reviews, and design board activities, leverages synergies with other GE design communities
- Stays current and involved with GEAR, aerospace industry, academia and regulatory initiatives to ensure state of the art competitiveness
- Provide technical mentoring to the EW Controlled Titled Holder community and pipeline
- Support SMS/QMS and Engineering quality initiatives
- Provide leadership, experience and knowledge to help proactively identify and solve technical problems
- Promotes the documentation of lessons learned and their dissemination across the organization
- Support technical training and development initiatives ... e.g., Advanced Course in Engineering (ACE), and Mechanical Design Fundamentals (MDF)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in turbomachinery engineering
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

- Deep knowledge of USAF design practices, policies and procedures
- Recognized Subject Matter Expert in defense propulsion, especially high speed applications and survivability

- Current US Top Secret clearance, or the ability to get cleared to that level
