Position Title: Quantity Surveyor
Work Location: Qatar
Schedule: 5-day work week
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
Experience:
-
Minimum 12 years of Quantity Surveying experience, with a focus on offshore oil & gas and petrochemical projects.

Proven background in Tendering, BOQ preparation, Estimation, and administration of EPIC Lump Sum or Re-measurable Contracts.

Experience working on both Client and Contractor sides, across engineering offices, fabrication yards, and offshore environments.

Strong working knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications.

Skilled in interpreting contract scopes, and managing Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Change Orders (MoC).

Exposure to multicultural work environments is preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills with a high level of fluency in written and spoken English.

Able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all Quantity Surveying tasks throughout the Detailed Design, Procurement, Fabrication, and Offshore EPIC project phases.

Review and validate MTOs, BOQs, and Manhour Estimates related to contract scope and scope changes.

Support the Senior Cost Engineer by preparing or validating cost estimates in line with applicable unit rates and estimation strategy.

Work closely with the EPIC Contractor to review, negotiate, and endorse MTOs and associated cost changes as part of the MoC process.

Collaborate with the Senior Planning Engineer to verify progress tracking of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning work—both for the base contract and scope changes.

Assist in the validation of Value of Work Done (VOWD) for invoicing and cost control purposes.

Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, and Project Management Teams (PMT) to ensure scope and quantity alignments are well understood and captured.

Support project controls and cost teams in aligning physical quantities with earned value reporting and schedule progress.
