Position: QA/QC Engineer (E&I)
Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar
Contract Type: 2-Year Secondment Contract (with potential 1-year extension based on performance and business need)
Schedule: 6 days per week, 8–10 hours per day

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join its dynamic team in Ras Laffan. The role is key to ensuring the successful execution of QA/QC programs across complex brownfield and shutdown projects within live LNG operational environments.
Key Responsibilities

Support QA/QC Lead in delivering effective quality programs across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

Review scope, inspection plans, material specifications, FAT/SAT plans, and technical documentation from a QA/QC perspective.

Lead and coordinate inspection activities, site punch-list management, NCR investigations, and quality close-out processes.

Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), vendor inspections, pre-inspection meetings, and source inspections for E&I packages.

Validate E&I-specific technical deliverables: loop diagrams, GA drawings, cause & effect, routing layouts, SLDs, logic diagrams, etc.

Monitor contractor performance, implement QA metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure adherence to COMPANY health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).

Certified Quality Auditor (IRCA) is required; Lead Auditor registration is preferred.

Trade certification in Electrical/Instrumentation (advantageous).
Experience
-
Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in the oil & gas sector.

Experience in both greenfield and brownfield project execution.

Strong understanding of shutdown execution, live plant QA/QC compliance, and LNG operations.

Familiar with international codes and standards: IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, ATEX/IECEx 60079, etc.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in managing QA/QC inspections across design, procurement, and construction.

Competency with data analysis, technical reporting, and quality documentation.

Familiarity with engineering software, documentation control tools, and project systems.

Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken.

Solid interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
