About the Role:
We are supporting a leading international energy operator in the search for a Pipeline Engineer to join an integrated development engineering team in Qatar. This role focuses on subsea pipelines and interconnections from early-stage screening through to Pre-FEED. The ideal candidate will bring significant offshore pipeline experience and a drive to identify innovative and cost-efficient technical solutions in a high-profile brownfield development.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership for all pipelines and subsea interconnection scopes during the early development phases.

Manage external engineering studies and vendors, including scope of work (SOW) development, supervision, and review.

Conduct technical evaluations to support technology selection, routing, and crossing optimisation.

Identify opportunities to reduce CAPEX while ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Collaborate with internal departments to develop integrated, fit-for-purpose pipeline designs.

Act as technical focal point for pipeline scopes, interfacing with engineering, construction, and operations teams.

Contribute to project risk assessments, reviews, workshops, and stage gate documentation.

Develop constructability and execution planning for subsea pipeline installation.
Skills & Experience:

Degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred).

At least 15 years’ experience in pipeline engineering within the oil & gas sector.

Proven track record in offshore pipeline design, engineering, and installation.

Experience across project phases: screening, conceptual, Pre-FEED, and cost optimisation.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate within a diverse team.

Technically versatile and solution-focused, able to drive innovation in challenging contexts.

Knowledge of pipeline-related software and good proficiency in MS Office.

Experience with major energy operators’ technical standards is desirable.
