Role Overview
In this role, you will report to GE90/GP Aft Engine LCE Design Sub-Section Manager, GE Aerospace Bangalore Engineering Center. In addition, you will interface with organizations such as the Engineering, MRO, supply chain, CEO and services organization. As a Staff Engineer, your responsibility broadly includes:

- Lead and execute the design, analysis, test or integration of HPT rotor hardware for GE90/GP program using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Be the first point of contact from LCE on any query from sourcing/supplier/fleet/repair/customer
- Execute & participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Collaborate and Communicate with all stakeholders on project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute programs and mentor other team members
- Demonstrate clear thinking, strong technical articulation, manage handoffs between different organizations
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and customer commitments.
- Demonstrate collaborative work style and team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
- Responsible to support shops for Departure record resolution and shop visit cost reduction
- Should network & establish strong connections with Commodity CTHs, Cross functions teams viz. Shop, SC, Repair, MAE, CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes for module
- Leverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions on ESM limit extensions, special procedures, etc.
- Adopt Lean in day-to-day work for process improvements
Idea Candidate:
Should have experience in Rotors Mechanical design & analysis.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelors/ Master's Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Engineering position (design, analysis, systems, services)
- Strong Design creativity and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
Desired Qualification:
- Familiarity with High Pressure Turbine module
- Background on structural and rotating parts analysis, design & manufacturing experience
- Previous experience in component hardware ownership role
- Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
- Ability to effectively interact with the customer
- Strong oral and written communication skills
