Your role: Service Engineer Motors & Generators

Love solving technical puzzles? Enjoy working hands-on at customer sites? This is your chance to make a real impact in the world of industrial power.

As a Service Engineer, you'll become a key expert in motors and generators - especially large high-voltage machines. From installations and maintenance to diagnostics and digital upgrades, you'll be on the front line, keeping our customers' equipment running smoothly.

You'll be part of our Motors & Drives Service team - a practical, passionate, and professional group. Based in the Netherlands, you'll travel to various customer sites with your own fully equipped service van.
What you'll do

• Perform diagnostics and condition monitoring (like ABB Ability™ LEAP) on motors and generators
• Install smart ABB Ability™ products like Smart Sensors and MACHsense remote monitoring
• Maintain and service motors and generators on-site
• Align and commission motors and generators
• Carry out work for preventive maintenance contracts
• Support implementation of digital services together with our ABB Ability™ team
• Collaborate with project managers and coordinators on larger jobs
• Be a trusted technical advisor to the customer

What you bring

• A technical degree (MBO+/HBO) in electrical or energy engineering
• Hands-on experience in a service-oriented technical role
• Experience with vibration or condition monitoring (a plus!)
• A safety-first mindset and the ability to work independently or in teams
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• A BE driver's license (you'll get your own service van)
• Willingness to take internal trainings - sometimes abroad
• VCA-VOL certification (or willingness to obtain it)

You'll need flexibility: this job includes 24/7 on-call shifts on rotation.
