Job Summary: Petrochem is currently seeking a Branch HSE Manager in our Vancouver, WA branch office. This position reports to the HSE Director and supports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, commitment to our community, accountability, and ownership. This position supports the HSE efforts in Vancouver, WA, White City, OR and jobsites in the Pacific Northwest.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership fostering Petrochem's safety culture through identifying areas needing improvement, providing expert opinion, supporting objectives, and integrating HSE into operational practices and collaborating with operations' leaders to encourage a culture that integrates HSE into operating practices
  • Provide and maintain effective communication with operational leaders and field personnel as it relates to Company, Client and regulatory expectations and related project planning and key HSE performance indicators
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to identify and correct deficiencies in planning or practice, to ensure a safe work environment, and prepare for a new project or support Clients' needs or relationships
  • Direct incident investigation and management processes and collaborate with key stakeholders to determine appropriate CAPAs. Provides detailed transparent communication with the HSE director and Claims Management
  • Review incidents and corrective actions for completion and closure and inputs/monitors preventative actions from HSE alerts.
  • Collect and maintains HSE data/metrics and provides reports as determined by the HSE Director, Clients or Company expectations
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with employee training according to regulatory requirements. Support training processes by creating, updating and reviewing existing training content, as well as providing/facilitating specific training courses
  • Effectively utilize various software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, video conferencing and Vista (ERP system) and HSE-related platforms
  • Oversee, request and/or provide industrial hygiene sampling and related activities where potential exposure risks exist
  • Establish strong interpersonal relationships/credibility with operations, HSE and other departments to leverage combined expertise in challenges and build an HSE integrated culture
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA General Industry and Constructions standards, their interpretation and application to industrial construction and maintenance

Licenses & Certifications (preferred):
  • Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or similar
  • OSHA 500

Travel:
  • Same day and overnight travel to job sites within the Pacific Northwest region as required by business needs (estimated 40%)
