Position Overview:

Due to continued growth and project wins we are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in Adelaide.

Reporting to the process team lead within the Water, Environment and Industrial Group, you will be responsible for process engineering activities on projects typically involving wastewater treatment, potable water treatment, chemical dosing, odour control, venting, flaring, pumping and piping, pipelines, compression and similar. The role will work closely with other mechanical, structural, hydraulic, civil and electrical engineers in delivery of projects and proposals for a range of clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop process engineering design and analysis for projects across water, defence and energy sectors.
  • Develop and implement process simulations and models to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in process engineering within water/defence projects.
  • Knowledge of Australian standards and regulations pertaining to process engineering.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Biowin, Aspen HYSYS, PHAST, etc.) is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Current Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain Defence clearance required.
