We are seeking an experienced Site Services Manager to join a large-scale, high-profile industrial project located in Northern Mozambique. This is a key role with a wide scope of responsibilities, embedded in a complex, multicultural and remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of up to 60 site-based personnel (15–20 direct reports), covering planning, cost control, logistics, accommodation, transportation, corporate affairs, and other services.
- Oversee and monitor the performance of the EPC contractor and other service providers.
- Act as a member of the site Emergency Management Team and support the Site Director in overall site coordination.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards and promote a strong safety culture on site.
- Drive issue resolution and improvements related to welfare, accommodation, and logistics.
- Review and validate contractors’ execution plans and critical documentation.
- Consolidate and report construction progress across all areas, propose KPIs, and highlight deviations.
- Provide regular reporting to project management on site performance, risks, and progress.
- Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline (advanced degrees or professional certifications preferred).
- Minimum 15 years’ experience, including 5 years in a management role on large industrial/EPC projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE, project control, logistics, contracts, and site management.
- Proven leadership skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). Portuguese or French would be an asset.
- Prior experience working in remote or high-risk environments is a strong advantage.
- Billion-dollar LNG project, financed by international institutions, with significant social and environmental dimensions.
- Site located in a highly remote area (Afungi, Northern Mozambique), with limited infrastructure and communication.
- Health and safety measures in place (malaria prevention, security protocols, etc.).
- International rotation contract with full coverage of travel, accommodation, insurance, and in-country logistics.
