Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day engineering and operations support to the offshore operations team on asset work activities and/or on problems and challenges which require immediate investigation and response
- Provide process optimisation support through data driven prioritisation and implementation of workflows – ensure adherence to operational discipline and safe working practices, and champion cross-shift alignment. Monitor and optimise main plant process and utilities systems and monitor key plant process/production/environmental performance indicators and take action to ensure asset targets are met.
- Provide process and facilities input to engineering modifications to the existing plant, raise and/or evaluate opportunities and MOCs, and provide technical support and follow-up for key projects from kick-off to implementation and start-up. Responsible for ensuring awareness of these processes offshore and for promoting operational discipline in these areas. Engage with onshore engineering and maintenance teams, as required. Respond to HAZOP actions, as required.
- Lead the asset loss reporting process for process engineering related losses. Responsible for ensuring RCA investigation, findings and remediation actions address root causes to prevent re-occurrence in an efficient, effective and sustainable manner.
- Support with development of quality risk assessments in asset operational risk assessments (ORM/ORAs). Provide input to cumulative risk assessments.
- Responsible for development and delivery of medium to long term asset improvement / compliance projects. Ensure these are appropriately reflected in asset LOF plans and fully integrated into business plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Process engineering knowledge in oil & gas process design and problem solving. Experience in offshore / onshore production operations preferred.
- Engineering degree qualified – good foundation required in core technical area (Chemical/Mechanical). Demonstrates good project management capability and is performance driven.
- Shows technical and personal leadership potential and effective team building skills. Has ability to work with minimal supervision on most technical issues and works well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated company behaviours and ability to develop and sustain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
