FPSO Integration Pre-Comm Coordinator - China

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are seeking an experienced FPSO Integration Pre-Commissioning Coordinator to lead and supervise pre-commissioning activities across FPSO systems and modules at a major fabrication yard in Tianjin. The role will be a key part of the site team, ensuring readiness, quality, and safe execution of all integration activities in preparation for commissioning.

The role will be working on a 12 month renewable contract, working 6 days per week at the yard, paying a day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage pre-commissioning procedures, schedules, and system readiness plans.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary coordination of mechanical, piping, E&I, and system activities.
• Verify mechanical completion (MC), perform walkdowns, and punch list resolution.
• Supervise flushing, pressure testing, loop checks, and functional testing of systems.
• Act as key interface between vendors, fabrication contractors, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor safety compliance and contribute to a strong HSE culture across site operations.
• Participate in project progress reviews and provide detailed reporting on pre-commissioning status.

Requirements:

• 15 years of experience in oil & gas, with at least 10 years in FPSO fabrication or similar.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with significant pre-commissioning experience.
• Skilled in interfacing with fabrication yards, vendors, and commissioning teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; French is a plus.
• Able to lead in a fast-paced, multi-cultural site environment.
