FPSO Topside Pre-Comm Coordinator - China

On behalf of a major Oil & gas operator, WRS are looking for a skilled FPSO Topside Pre-Commissioning Coordinator to oversee all topside system readiness activities at a fabrication yard in Tianjin. This role ensures that the FPSO topsides are mechanically complete, pre-commissioned to spec, and fully ready for commissioning and offshore operations.

The role will be working on a 12 month reenwable contract, working 6 days per week in the yard, paying a day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate pre-commissioning of topside processing and utility systems, ensuring quality and schedule compliance.
• Review and verify contractor work packs, test procedures, and mechanical completion dossiers.
• Manage and track punch list clearance (Cat A/B/C) and NCRs to support smooth transition to commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections, functional testing oversight, and documentation validation.
• Ensure alignment with engineering, operations, and HSE teams throughout execution.
• Report progress, risks, and mitigation actions to project management.

Requirements:

• 15 years in oil & gas, with 7–10 years focused on pre-commissioning of FPSO topsides.
• Prior experience in shipyard environments and newbuild projects is highly preferred.
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Instrumentation).
• Strong knowledge of topside utilities, marine systems, and fabrication yard practices.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; French is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead coordination efforts across multiple disciplines in a complex project.
