Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on the development and execution of major capital projects ($5MM$600MM+), from conceptual design through Front End Loading (FEL), detailed engineering, and construction.
  • Provide technical and strategic guidance to project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Review project plans, budgets, schedules, and contractor deliverables for quality and feasibility.
  • Support long-range capital planning, integrating business strategy with operational priorities.
  • Mentor engineering and operations staff, transferring industry knowledge and best practices.
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex operational or technical challenges in midstream and refining facilities.
  • Offer input on process safety management, regulatory compliance, and advanced process control projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 25+ years of experience in refinery, midstream, and petrochemical operations, engineering, and capital project management.
  • Proven track record overseeing multi-million-dollar projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and delivering on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of process design, operations support, PSM compliance, MOC procedures, and EPC contractor management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record in capital project execution and team leadership
  • Ready to contribute without the grind of full-time work

Why This Role?
  • Flexible part-time schedule (20 hours/week) ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to leverage decades of experience to make a lasting impact.
  • Work on meaningful projects without the demands of full-time employment.
