Senior Process Engineer - Join Us in Optimizing Production Excellence!

Join TotalEnergies Esbjerg as a Senior Process Engineer and help drive safer, more efficient offshore operations in the Danish North Sea. This hands-on role is ideal for experienced engineers passionate about optimizing production processes and upholding safety standards. You'll support our Production Support Department and gain deep exposure to complex site operations across high-value assets. We're looking for a proactive team player who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to make a real impact on production performance and safety outcomes.

Activities

In this role, you will research technical solutions, providing support to our offshore installations. You will also coach and support junior Engineers in the team, and validate their work. You will lead small projects, update operating philosophies and other process documents. You will contribute to DGS (Downgraded Situation) and integrity assessments, and participate in studies related to OEFF (Operational Efficiency), Safe Operations, Integrity, and new developments.

Daily activities will include:
  • Contribute to research and troubleshooting of technical solutions, addressing upsets, shortfalls, instability, and bottlenecks.
  • Provide Tier 2 support, diagnostic, and troubleshooting services, and validate the work of junior engineers when required.
  • Lead process engineering projects and initiatives independently, ensuring successful completion.
  • Offer training, coaching, and support to Process Engineers, fostering their development and growth.
  • Develop and update process documentation and diagrams, including PFD (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), Process Datasheets & Specifications, and Cause and Effect Diagrams.
  • Contribute to site surveys and various technical studies, such as HAZID (Hazard Identification)/HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), pre-project, FMP (Field Management Plan), and integrity assessments.

Candidate Profile

Your background:
  • MSc in Process / Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries
  • Proficiency with Process Simulations tools (e.g. UniSim®, HYSIS®, Olga™, Flaresim, Multiflash®)
  • A clear ability to work in a transversal manner
  • A clear focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
  • Fluency in English
