Works directly for or with one or several Flow Measurement products/project engineers or managers building and/or testing electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and products and developing assembly processes that lead to the final product. Works with new and existing products to help improve manufacturability, quality, and performance, resulting in the highest performance, lowest cost, and reliable product.
Pay Rate: $26/hour - $39/hour

- Maintains test equipment and facilities in good working order. Ensure test operations are performed safely, and equipment is calibrated and in safe working condition. Able to perform other duties, projects, or assignments within the physical constraints of the job.
- The technician assists the engineering & manufacturing teams in designing and fabricating the means of testing and assembling Flow Measurement components/products.
- The technician reflects his efforts, thoughts, and test results via reports to engineering and is expected to be proactive in providing feedback on potential design improvements and process optimization.
- The technician develops, improves, and documents a means of assembly for manufacturing, including, where applicable, developing new tooling/fixtures for the product.
- Perform pre-certification testing using prescribed tools and methods.
- Maintains testing equipment in good working order, including calibrations, repairs, and/or scheduled maintenance of the testing equipment used within the test facility.
- Reads and understands test procedures, standards, and protocols.
- Gathers test parts and equipment to set up tests per given specifications.
- Ensures that sufficient supplies are on hand to complete test programs.
- Operates all test equipment, collecting test data as needed for product validation/verification documentation.
- Designs new and modifies existing test fixtures as needed to conduct product or component testing under the guidance of the responsible engineer.
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders, both internal and, where appropriate, external
- Comply with company safety and quality policies.
- Supports cross-functional coordination between engineering, manufacturing, and geozone teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
- Participates in customer-facing activities such as FATs, contract reviews, and technical documentation submissions.
- Reviews supplier documentation for compliance with internal standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
- High school diploma.
- Three years of working experience in a technical environment.
- Familiar with handling and assembly of electrical/electronic/mechanical and computer-based products and industrial processes for fabrication.
- Expertise in the assembly of complex and delicate electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with prototype fabrication, assembly, testing and reporting.
- Able to use common electronics bench equipment and soldering techniques to assemble and test electronic sub-assemblies and/or test equipment.
- Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment and can inspect electronic, mechanical components and assemblies.
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to read, review, and create good quality written reports in English, including digital photographs, illustrations, spreadsheets, and recorded/charted data from tests performed.
- Understands how to work safely within a variety of potentially dangerous areas.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others in a multi-disciplined environment.
- Electronic/computer/mechanical equipment assembly and test experience in a factory or shop environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing, assembly and test processes and related equipment.
- The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication (English).
PREFERRED
- Five or more years of working experience in a technical environment.
- Associate's, bachelor's, or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
- Familiar with applicable codes and standards for hazardous locations related to oil & gas production equipment.
- Manufacturing or fabricating (building equipment) experience - oil & gas production equipment.
- Functional understanding of flow measurement production equipment and processes.
- Equipment design and manufacturability analysis skills.
- Ability to travel to supplier's and/or customer's location to troubleshoot processes and/or equipment.
