Job Title: Senior Subsea Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and safety-conscious Senior Subsea Engineer to provide technical and operational support for a major offshore project. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, operability, and performance of subsea production systems and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide practical and technical engineering support to ensure the integrity and operability of:
  1. Subsea Production Systems (SPS)
  2. Fluid Transfer Line/Gravity Actuated Pipe (FTL/GAP) Systems
  3. Top-Tensioned Riser (TTR) Systems
  • Support the development and implementation of longterm Integrity Management Plans and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs for subsea assets.
  • Prepare work scopes, specifications, and technical evaluation criteria to support procurement and contracting activities related to subsea maintenance and inspection.
  • Lead planning and execution of Subsea IMR (Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair) campaigns.
  • Develop offshore method statements and workpacks for Subsea IMR/Intervention campaigns.
  • Manage contracts for IMR vessels, ROV operations, diving services, and other subsea maintenance contractors.
  • Oversee planning, testing, maintenance, and preservation of intervention equipment and tooling, including logistics coordination.
  • Maintain and update key databases and dashboards, including:
  1. RBI Reports
  2. Inspection Reports
  3. Subsea Anomaly Lists
  • Ensure compliance with all Company HSE and technical standards across all subsea operations.
  • Collaborate with the wider Subsea Maintenance and Inspections team to develop longterm IMR strategies.
  • Review and oversee engineering analysis and failure investigations performed by specialist contractors.
  • Assist in updating asset integrity management procedures based on findings and analysis.
  • Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), service contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support internal collaboration across related departments and report to the Head of Subsea Maintenance and Inspections.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in upstream oil & gas project management.
    • Experience in shallow and deepwater operations is highly desirable.
    • Prior experience as a site representative for an operating company is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with EPCIC contractors and project execution.
    • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Subsea IMR/Intervention activities.
    • Awareness of current subsea technologies and interfaces.
    • Experience in equipment/system failure investigation using tools such as 5 Whys, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and Fishbone diagrams.
    • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice to remote offshore locations.
    • Medically fit for offshore work.
    • Strong communication skills and experience working in multi-national, cross-functional teams.
    • Solid understanding of key industry standards, particularly API RP17.
