Function description

A 2nd Engineer is a vital position in the maritime industry, particularly in offshore operations. As a 2nd Engineer you are able to assist the Chief Engineer in managing and supervising the engineering department.

You are responsible to operate, maintain, and repair machinery and systems, including engines, generators, pumps, compressors, boilers, and refrigeration systems. A perfect candidate knows how to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies; train and supervise lower-ranking engineering personnel.

Requirements

To qualify for this job, a perfect candidate should have:

• DP certificate;
• COC III/2;
• VCA certificate;
• BOSIET;
• Mandatory STCW's for Second Engineer position;
• Offshore medical OGUK;
• GWO Sea Survival and GWO Working at Heights
