- Provide Production/Petroleum Engineering input for all wells in Cheleken Block, Turkmenistan, and support the planning of well operational and reservoir development activities (including completions, work-overs, Sand management, well testing, well interventions and routine well operations).
- Provide proposals and support for well interventions and artificial lift installation to achieve company production targets for existing wells and to re-active shut in wells in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure a daily and continuous follow up of well performance while providing prompt Production/Petroleum engineering and technical support and advice to Offshore Operations Team for the day to day plant operations, from HAZ office or by field attendance, to ensure the production target is safely achieved.
- Coordinate the execution of assigned activities/projects with the other PE team members and work with the team to effectively deliver projects and activities, and provide support to the other team members in order to meet deadlines and targets and lead by example.
- Provide input and support to reservoir development and engineering activities for designing and planning related but not limited to well completions, work-overs, Sand control, well integrity, well interventions and routine well operations, topsides installation, flow assurance and chemical optimisation.
- Provide proposals and support for well interventions and artificial lift installation to achieve company production targets from existing wells and re-activate shut in wells in a safe and efficient manner.
- Develop his/her competencies in Petroleum Engineering by actively participating or getting involved in projects and activities led by their PE senior members.
Job Responsibilities
- For delivering assigned projects and/or tasks on his/her own and/or in coordination with other PE team members to effectively deliver them in time and for ensuring the projects/activities are completed in the best quality judgement.
- For continuing and completing assignments of his role or position which have been assigned and accepted by his/her back to back and for ensuring the accepted projects are well handed over to his/her back to back to assure continuity. He/she is also responsible for providing support to the team members when required in order to meet deadlines and targets.
- For the continuous monitoring and troubleshooting of natural flowing and artificial lifted wells (GL, JP and ESP) and their operations to deliver production targets. Work on wells optimization along with RDO engineers to maximise production and preventing downtime.
- For effective use of company resources in oil production and field development.
- Providing prompt Production/Petroleum engineering and technical support and advice to Offshore Operations Team for the day to day plant operations to ensure the production target is safely achieved.
- Ensuring that optimum well performance, choke optimization and production targets are achieved in a safe manner in accordance with HSE policy and good oilfield practice.
- Attending offshore activities and provide on-site witnessing in perforations, logging, testing of new wells, artificial lift installation and any other critical well operations pertaining to reservoir monitoring and production optimization.
Education
Qualification Requirements:
- To be eligible for Petroleum Engineering role it is required to hold B. Sc, Degree in Petroleum Engineering, which requires to be supported by relevant years of experience depending on the Grade of the PE position as stated below:
- Petroleum Engineer III: Minimum 2 years' proven experience and expertise in similar positions within Oil and Gas companies, is required to match, which will be verified by relevant assessments when validation is required.
- The required experience for this role, includes but is not limited to:
- The areas of knowledge and practice in Production/Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering particularly in an offshore environment, as well as a good understanding of other areas such as: drilling, project management, reservoir engineering, completion engineering.
- Knowledge and/or understanding of drilling, well completion and testing and wireline data acquisition (such as open hole and cased hole logging, RFT/MDT, PLT, PVT), perforating and pressure surveys, reservoir fluid sampling and analysis, knowledge project management and budgeting, knowledge of reservoir engineering modelling and with industry standard software packages for Nodal Analysis, Pressure Transient Analysis, including multi-reservoir flow analysis, experience with PROSPER, GAP and Mbal software programs.
