Job Summary
Metrology Technician at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant responsible for maintaining all aspects of the CPNPP metrology lab to help ensure that supported work groups at the station are able to maintain all equipment in a safe, reliable and efficient manner within all environmental and regulatory standards.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
• Maintaining an environment conducive to nuclear and personal safety
• Ensuring adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures
• Maintain documentation of work, including testing documentation
• Complete and maintain a wide spectrum of technical qualifications
• Maintaining calibration procedures current per station requirements
• Calibration, control and repair of M&TE and associated reference standards
• Initiating deficient M&TE evaluation reports in a timely manner
• Initiating M&TE/reference standard calibration evaluations
• Completing and maintaining master data sheets for calibrated equipment
• Tracking and issuing M&TE to station personnel
• Review equipment usage to determine M&TE equipment which can be retired and no longer require calibration.
• Provide yearly input during budget cycles for equipment requiring replacement (both calibration equipment and equipment being calibrated)
• Prepare for outage / at-power required calibrations prior to scheduled work.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
• 3 years related work experience
• Demonstrated ability to learn
• Sound understanding of various process dynamics
• Ability to maintain and adhere to technical procedures
• Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

• Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/department
• Maintain effective working relationships within the team/department
• Problem solving techniques to address issues
• Provide the station with reliable support to ensure all station test equipment is available when needed
