ABB Electrification in Skien is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking engineer with a master's degree in environmental sciences or industrial ecology to strengthen our efforts in Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), circular product development, and sustainable innovation. You will work at the intersection of technology, environment, and product design, helping to shape the future of electrical infrastructure.

You will work at the intersection of technology, environment, and product design, helping to shape the future of electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EPDs for products and solutions within high and low voltage technologies.
- Integrate circular economy principles into product development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional - and global teams to optimize material choices, life cycle assessments, and environmental impact.
- Actively monitoring sustainability and environmental legislation
- Organize the necessary training for the local teams
- Apply data science tools to analyze and improve environmental performance.
- Contribute to innovation in high-voltage switchgear and electrical components with a sustainability focus.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in environmental science, industrial ecology, environmental engineering, product development, or a related field.
- Experience with EPD creation and life cycle assessments (LCA) with industry tools (e.g. SimaPro or equivalent).
- Knowledge of circular economy and sustainable design principles.
- Competence in product development and/or high-voltage technology is an advantage.
- Experience with data analysis and digital tools (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, DAX, SQL or similar) is desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English and Norwegian, other languages is a plus.
- Comfortable with global collaboration with coworkers with different cultural backgrounds.
- Both recent graduates and experienced are encouraged to apply.
- The position will be partially adapted to the skills level of the candidate.
