Do you have experience in the maintenance and repair of gearboxes and enjoy traveling? As a Field Service Engineer at Bilfinger (formerly Stork Gears & Services), you are the international specialist in gearboxes. Your technical skills will truly shine as you work on projects worldwide-from Singapore to Norway and Brazil-and, of course, from our workshop in Rotterdam.

What will you do?

As a Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of gearboxes across the globe. Every assignment starts with thorough preparation: you analyze the situation, determine which parts and tools are needed, and ensure everything is ready. From our office in Rotterdam, you coordinate all preparations so you can head out well-prepared.

You will work in diverse locations: from ships in Singapore to offshore installations in Norway and factories in Brazil, as well as in our Rotterdam workshop. On-site, you inspect the installation, identify the root cause of the issue, and work independently or with colleagues to resolve it. If something is needed from the Netherlands, you return to prepare everything, while your colleagues ensure the required parts are delivered to the client. Once everything is ready, you fly back to complete the job and get the installation running optimally again.

No two days are the same, making your work both technically challenging and internationally exciting.

Your main tasks include:

• Inspection and analysis: Assess malfunctions and determine the best solution.
• Reporting and advising: Provide clients and colleagues with advice on status, required maintenance, and potential risks.
• Repair and overhaul: Ensure gearboxes and installations function optimally again.
• International travel: At least 30% of your time will be spent abroad.

Who are you?

You work independently, take responsibility for your work, and can quickly adapt to different technical challenges. You have a passion for technology and thrive in a dynamic environment. You are also eager to keep developing your knowledge.

What you bring:

• You already live in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work here.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Service Engineer or Service Technician, specifically with gearboxes.
• A completed vocational education in Mechanical Engineering (MBO level 3) or equivalent experience.
• Good command of the English language.

• Salary: Between €3,400,- and €5,920,- gross per month, depending on experience and education.
