Job description

SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Technician - Electrical for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.

Its a rotational role- 28/28

Job Purpose-

Support commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Technician - Electrical systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Work with the commissioning team to prepare, test, and hand over systems safely and on time.

Main Responsibilities-
• Assist in commissioning of electrical systems (motors, switchgear, transformers, UPS).
• Perform insulation resistance, continuity, and functional tests.
• Support energization and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
• Follow commissioning procedures and instructions from supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and commissioning activities.
• Respect HSE rules and ensure safe working environment.
• Support punch list clearance and handover to operations.

Profile

Requirements-
• Iraqi national from Basra region.
• Technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in electrical maintenance or commissioning in oil & gas industry.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, and switchgear.
• Ability to read and follow electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety.
