Job description

SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Technician (Process) for onshore project in Basra, Iraq.

It's a rotational role 28/28

Job Purpose-

Support commissioning and start-up of process systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Work with the commissioning team to prepare, test, and hand over systems safely and on time.

Main Responsibilities-
• Assist in commissioning activities for process equipment (pumps, compressors, vessels, piping, utilities).
• Follow commissioning procedures and instructions from supervisors.
• Carry out tests, inspections, and functional checks.
• Report problems, support troubleshooting, and apply corrective actions when required.
• Record commissioning results and complete check sheets.
• Respect HSE rules and ensure safe working conditions at all times.
• Support punch list activities and system handover to operations.

Profile

Qualification-
• Iraqi nationals from Basra region.
• Technical diploma or equivalent in process, mechanical, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in oil & gas operations, maintenance, or commissioning.
• Basic knowledge of process systems (pumps, separators, compressors, etc.).
• Ability to read and follow instructions and technical documents.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety.
