Logistics Planning & Reporting Engineer - Tanzania

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS is seeking an experienced Logistics Planning & Reporting Engineer to join the site-based team in Tanzania. The role will focus on schedule management, logistics planning, and progress reporting to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and contractor obligations during the execution phase of a major transnational pipeline development project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain logistics schedules and reporting systems for delivery and execution activities.
• Track and follow up on manufacturing and fabrication progress across global suppliers.
• Consolidate contractor and site reports into accurate weekly and monthly package reports.
• Liaise with planning engineers from other project packages to ensure coherence and consistency.
• Support the Logistics Package Control Lead with planning, reporting, and KPI dashboards.
• Monitor contractor planning and progress measurement activities, ensuring alignment with project standards.
• Ensure timely identification of delays, deviations, and risks, implementing corrective action plans.
• Contribute to contract close-out processes in line with project procedures.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining a professional and cooperative working environment.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas sector, including large onshore or pipeline projects.
• Minimum 5 years in logistics planning, reporting, or related project controls roles.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Power BI is essential.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in complex project environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective in multicultural teams.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
