EngineeringABOUT THE ROLE
As a CBRE Industrial Wastewater Treatment Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, directing, and overseeing the activities and operation of the industrial wastewater treatment, deionized water and irrigation systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operates and maintains (WTP) Waste Treatment Plant equipment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Additional certification in three or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC/Exhaust/Scrubber, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing. Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, fractions and chemistry related calculations.
Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to operate an EMS and CMMS system.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls and environmental regulations to include safety regulations.
Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.

The minimum salary for the position is $115,000 annually and the maximum salary is $130,000 annually. As a CBRE Industrial Wastewater Treatment Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, directing, and overseeing the activities and operation of the industrial wastewater treatment, deionized water and irrigation systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operates and maintains (WTP) Waste Treatment Plant equipment.
- Irrigation permit responsibilities:
- Proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the irrigation system.
- Control of onsite piping to prevent any cross-connections with potable water supplies.
- Routine inspection and maintenance of backflow prevention devices installed to protect potable water supplies, consistent with CCR Title 17 section 7605.
- General responsibilities to ensure operational compliance with the site Reclaim Water Irrigation Permit and continuous implementation of any BMPs identified as necessary to prevent potential hazards to public health and to protect the environment.
- Collaborating with EHS to manage/update the Keysight Technologies Irrigation Management Plan (IMP).
- Ensuring adherence to the Keysight Technologies Reclaimed Water Operations and Management Plan.
- Industrial wastewater discharge permit responsibilities:
- Proper operation and maintenance of the process wastewater treatment system.
- Maintain documented operational procedures and safe work practices; train staff.
- Ensure appropriate samples are checked daily for operational indicator parameters.
- Respond in a timely manner to notifications of out-of-spec conditions; report to EHS immediately if conditions are outside the industrial discharge permit conditions.
- Investigate and implement corrective measures for any injuries or out-of-spec conditions.
- Manages the (WTP) Waste Treatment Plant's operational accounts and assists in development of operating and capital budgets.
- Assists in operations and maintenance issues, troubleshooting and problem solving as required.
- Recommends and implements improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis and develop/maintain effective WTP-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
- Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians.
- Oversees all WTP systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and controls.
- Maintains on-going communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors.
- May assist in solicitation and acquisition of new management contracts.
- Coordinates development and maintenance of as-built drawings.
- Responds to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.
- Responds to regulatory reporting requirements and requests from local authorities and clients.
- Implements and administers inventory control programs/purchase parts and supplies.
- Establishes and monitors programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agency and company directives as relates to WTP operations.
- Maintain and execute Safety and Regulatory programs. This includes standard operating procedures, training, accident, and injury review, etc.
- Lead the response team efforts for alarms and upset conditions during working and non-working hours (including 24hr x 7day/week response readiness and leadership).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four years' experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Industrial wastewater and inorganic chemistry knowledge required.
- Metal processing / waste stream experience required
- Supervisory experience desired.
- Respirator program qualification required for various chemical handling operations.
- Ability to obtain OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
