Key Responsibilities
- Apply safety policies and procedures consistently while supporting a culture of safety first.
- Assist with the preparation of project and job packages including material lists, labor estimates, site drawings, and construction drawings.
- Learn to apply codes, regulations, and engineering standards to assigned projects.
- Develop skills in utility design software, GIS, and work management tools.
- Support evaluation of electrical distribution loading on equipment such as transformers and fusing.
- Participate in job-site visits to understand utility construction practices in public right-of-way (ROW) and private land.
- Maintain accurate records, project documentation, and workflow tracking.
- Build professional relationships with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project expectations are met.
- Work under the guidance of senior staff and engineers while developing technical expertise.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to AutoCAD, GIS, or other design software is a plus.
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them in practical settings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with teams and clients.
